Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American performer and actress. She is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native who was born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is born in Polish descent (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's talent for entertainment was recognized at an early age. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition and won an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Along with having private lessons, she began her acting career around that time. Bell was credited with a minor role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club in Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the production for high school in The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater following her graduation. Bell, who graduated in 2001, resigned her college studies in order to take on the role Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her debut on the credit screen with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however, her scene was cut out of the movie and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell appeared in Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
