Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy was born and raised in California in the USA. The modeling career of Amy Smart began in Italy. Her acting debut was in the year 1996 when she was a part of 'Her Costly Affair,' an TV film. It was a struggle to land the role of a main character on Starship Troopers, despite having starred in many movies. It was not an easy time in her transition from modelling to acting as the models were not considered to be good actors and were mostly given smaller and inconsequential parts. Yet somehow, Amy did not give up and transitioned to bigger roles in the end, beginning with the show 'The 70's' and the film 'Varsity Blues'. Amy then stepped into leading roles with the 2005's romantic comedy film 'Just friends', which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she had been chasing for over a decade. Amy went on to do various big-budget films, such as"Crank," the "Crank" series, which starred Jason Statham, and the series 'Shameless', in which she was a beloved as a recurring role.
